![]() There's a native license for vision in this bundle, but I'm guessing we're not getting it without paying for the updated version.īut otherwise I'm pretty positive on this. ![]() I'd had it a few years and probably would've eaten €50 or so for an update, but it's basically been at new plugin prices with no allowance for having the previous version. Said this in a post above - this is the controversial one. ![]() Now that this lock-in is gone they are hopefully more aligned with the customers on just providing the best user experience and offering the best of both worlds with real-time DSP processing and native plugins. It has gotten kind of ridiculous how much UAD charges for the sharc processors (which are 10+ year old chips), but it was always to their advantage to keep it going as long as possible because the limited DSP power forced many users to get a second interface or a satellite. New users who might not want to drop thousands of dollars upfront on an Apollo interfaces and plugins at $150 each (plus waiting for months for the 50% off sales) can now just start with a Volt interface and the $20/month plan.Īnd long term this seems like a great sign for the ecosystem. Long-time UAD users get native access immediately to all these plugins which is great, and can still buy licenses outright if they want. Love to see this, it seems like a win-win.
